Honoring CASA Volunteers: How Elliott’s Jewelers Made the Night Even More Special

On Thursday, January 30th, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) of Walker County gathered at Northside Baptist Church for their annual awards dinner, celebrating the dedication of their volunteers. This heartfelt evening honored 53 advocates and 23 guests who devote their time and compassion to making a difference in the lives of children in need.

A Gift from the Heart

Elliott Herzlich of Elliott’s Jewelers played a special role in the evening’s celebrations. Inspired by the unwavering commitment of CASA volunteers, Elliott wanted to express his gratitude in a meaningful way. He generously donated custom wooden puzzle pieces, symbolizing the vital role each advocate plays in the lives of the children they serve. Additionally, the night’s winners were gifted beautiful jewelry pieces, ensuring that they felt truly appreciated for their selfless work.

A Community That Cares

Rachel Drake, Program Director of CASA of Walker, San Jacinto, and Trinity Counties, shared her appreciation for Elliott’s generosity:

“Elliott is truly one of the most generous people I know. [Our organization is…] so grateful to him. Elliott had the idea to give the winners a piece of jewelry, and of course, we said yes. But he didn’t stop there—he had a custom wooden puzzle piece made for each advocate in our program to be given to them that night. Everyone was very touched by the gesture and the gift. It was an extra special way to honor them and the important work they do in a way we aren’t able to as a non-profit. The looks on the winners’ faces when they saw the necklaces were priceless, and it was a night to remember for sure! It means the world to our advocates to know that people in the community care about the work they do and the children they help.”

Celebrating Those Who Give So Much

The CASA Appreciation Event was a powerful reminder of the impact that kindness and community support can have. Elliott’s Jewelers is honored to celebrate and support those who give so much of themselves to better the lives of children in our community. We look forward to spreading that same spirit of generosity all year long here in Huntsville.
